Aim
The aim of Diyalogname Magazine is to serve as a broad platform for promoting dialogue, mutual understanding, and peace. By connecting scientific topics with everyday life and highlighting the diversity and pluralism of Kurdish society, it seeks to bring together the messages and voices of all different groups and segments of society, fostering coexistence, communication, and constructive engagement.
Diyalogname Magazine aims to serve as an inclusive digital publication that makes knowledge, research, and lived experiences accessible to all members of society without discrimination. It presents academic insights through articles, interviews, and stories in a clear and accessible language. The magazine encourages dialogue among diverse groups and sheds light on issues related to peace, women’s empowerment, and education. It also strives to build a bridge between academia and society, contributing to the development of a more inclusive, informed, and resilient community.

Editor-in-Chief
Prof. Dr. Mahdi Qadir Ahmedwas born in Sulaymaniyah in 1978. He is a professor of Comparative Religions, Islamic Theology (Kalam), and Creed at the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Sulaymaniyah. His area of specialization is Comparative Religions. He obtained his Ph.D. from Al-Iraqia University in Baghdad, with a dissertation focusing on Islamic-Christian dialogue and its impact on religious coexistence (2014). Prof. Dr. Mahdi is a researcher and author with more than ten published academic studies. He has supervised two Ph.D. dissertations and two master's theses and has served on numerous master's and doctoral examination committees. His work focuses on social peace and interfaith coexistence. In this regard, he has participated in dozens of television programs, academic conferences, and dialogue initiatives dedicated to promoting understanding and peaceful coexistence among different religious communities.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief
Prof. Dr. Peshawa Hassan MahmoudHe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Raperin University, specializing in nanotechnology, advanced materials, and sustainable energy technologies. He holds a PhD in Materials Science and has published more than 35 scientific papers as author or co-author in international journals.
He has extensive experience in both academia and industry, and is a member of the Academic Council of the Organization (DCO). He has delivered numerous scientific presentations, seminars and training courses at academic and professional events.
His research areas include nanocomposites (nanostructured materials), photocatalysis (light reagents), polymeric electrolytes, renewable energy materials, and applications of artificial intelligence in materials science. As Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dialogname, he is committed to enhancing scientific communication, interdisciplinary dialogue, and communicating information to a wider audience, thus helping to bridge the gap between academia and society.
Managing Editor
Assist. Prof. Dr. Areen Ahmed Muhammedis an Assistant Professor of English Language and Linguistics. He holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics with a specialisation in TESOL and Foreign Language Studies. He has been teaching English since 2005 and has served as a university lecturer since 2009. His academic interests include linguistics, language education, and research methodologies. Dr Areen has published more than 25 scholarly articles in national and international academic journals and is the author of five published books. He has participated in numerous international conferences and serves as an IELTS and TOEFL trainer and examiner. In addition to his academic work, Dr Areen is actively engaged in social media initiatives aimed at developing youth capacities and skills. He works as a youth capacity-building motivator through social media platforms. Within the Dialogue and Culture Organisation (DCO), he serves as the Director of the Academic Board.

Culture
Assist. Prof. Dr. Salar Abdullah Ahmed holds a Ph.D. in Arabic Literature and currently serves as a university lecturer at the University of Halabja. In addition to his academic work, he has been active for many years in various media institutions and journals. He has published numerous articles, research papers, and translations in Kurdish, Arabic, English, and Persian through local and international media outlets. His writings focus on literature, religious studies, and politics. He is the author of two books in Arabic: Bunyat al-Makan fi Riwayatay Al-Jaheem Al-Muqaddas wa Helana: Dirasah Muqaranah (The Structure of Place in the Novels “The Sacred Hell” and “Helana”: A Comparative Study) and Lughat al-Ishq wa Zaman al-Anfal (The Language of Love and the Time of Anfal), a translated work.
Women Empowerment
Prof. Dr. Shelan Omar HusseinHe holds a PhD and Professor in Kurdish Language. He is currently working in the Kurdish Department of the College of Language.
Education
Asst. Prof. Dr. Bahman Salih Mohammedwas born in Sulaymaniyah in 1975. He is a faculty member at the University of Sulaymaniyah, College of Basic Education, Department of Social Sciences. He is also a member of the Union of Arab Historians, contributing to academic and scholarly activities in the field of history and social sciences.
Health
Dr. Jamal Marouf Shareef is a Pediatric Neurologist at the Pediatric Teaching Hospital in Sulaymaniyah. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery (M.B.Ch.B.), a Higher Diploma in Child Health (D.C.H.), and a Master’s degree in Pediatric Neurology (M.Sc.). At the establishment of the Physiotherapy Department at the Sulaymaniyah Technical Institute, he taught anatomy courses there for two years. He has also worked as a pediatric physician in several areas of the Kurdistan Region, including Penjwen, Qaladze, and Ranya. Dr. Jamal has prepared a number of Kurdish-language educational booklets on common congenital conditions to raise awareness among parents. He has also published several medical articles in Kurdish in the scientific journal Sardam. He currently serves as a Pediatric Neurology Specialist at the Pediatric Hospital in Sulaymaniyah.
Technology
Assistant Professor Dr. Hoger Mahmud Hussein
Dr. Hogar has more than 15 years of research and teaching experience at the university level. He holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Huddersfield, UK, an M.Sc in Software Engineering from the University of Leicester, and a B.Sc in Computer Science from De Montfort University. In addition to his teaching and research experiences, Drs. Hogar has a rich treasure trove of administrative experience gained during his tenure as department chair and chairman of various committees. He is currently the Head of the Department of Computer and Informatics at the American University of Sulaimani. .
He is one of the 50 accredited pedagogy trainers recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government. He has published 20 scientific papers in academic journals in his specialty.
